Billy Sheehan – What it was like performing with a Rock Legend!

I have just finished 3 shows with Billy in the Caribbean, the last being today 1/1/13.

To be honest i am still completely blown out by the experience as well as being physically exhausted – you can’t help but give every possible ounce of energy into your performance when you have someone like this next to you. He is ridiculously inspiring yet so humble, real and just cool! God he even let me take a Bass solo as we carved out a version of Stanley Clarkes “School Days”. To be honest, i sucked, but it was still a thrill. Fortunately my vocals didn’t suck and after the show Billy offered to play on my record which i will do in Jan Feb this year!

In short, being around such a Master is unquestionably the musical highlight of my life so far. It has lifted my level of dedication and love of music to a much, much higher level.

Here are some pics from the shows:

Billy had the idea to do Stanley Clarks “School Days” with 4 Bass players!

Anoushka Shankar – Ravi lives on – brighter than ever!

With the passing of undoubtedly the greatest and most courageous Sitar player the world has known, all eyes turn to Anoushka Shankar!

Naturally the power that flows in her playing is a direct influence from her great father and teacher, but in children like these, i question that the spirit that is the child, is already a Master in their own right…reincarnated to continue the journey of sharing their magic upon the world…why not?

Regardless of the past of the new “Master Shankar”, what an inspiration it is see this love and passion for music blossom into a child so spectacular! A dream for every parent and teacher and how blessed we are to see and hear her play!!

Holidays 2012…

According to some, the world will end at the end of this year…god!!! they even made a movie about it!!! How mad this world can be when such people are let lose on society, to profit from fear, to enslave through lies!!

My way is to out create such negativity, so this coming year, i say lets all take a little more time to help a stranger, bring comfort to someone in need and share the good intentions that signify the Christmas season! Life is a very very beautiful thing…but it doesn’t remain beautiful, happy or great on automatic. It requires 100% dedication and attention to make it so and that is what i wish for you all this Holiday Season!

Australia

I just returned from 3.5 weeks at home and what a pleasure it was!

I loved seeing my family and enjoying some down time from what is normally a very full schedule! Sleeping in and watching movies until i feel asleep has never felt better 🙂

Here’s a shot with my God Father, an ex Pro Jazz Drummer from Vienna! Love him!!!!

Taiwan Rocks!

This morning i met with a Buddhist Master who is an adviser to the Government on Drugs. The data i shared with him may very well be the beginning of major change in this country – at least that is my intention! After that i sang in Tainan which was absolutely a treat! God i love what i do!!!!
